Medical cases simplified

App extension that lets you share medical cases with your peers in closed and secured community.

The problem

Using WhatsApp and l other well-known messenger clients is great but in this use, case users were asking for some more structured approach when they are sharing medical cases worldwide.

Reported Issues

When sharing on WhatsApp in a group of 100+ people the case is getting lost in all the replies. Another issue was that sometimes medical imaging cannot be tagged and it’s important because there is post-op or pre-op imaging that is crucial for understanding the case. The third biggest issue was security and patient privacy.

Approach

We tried to follow the same pattern of behavior as the users have on the main app (since this is extension) and see how can we structure the case information. We talked to some users about how the case should be structured and tried to make it work. They listed what important information and features they need in order to use this and make their lives easier.

Workshop and brainstorming

Since we already had a main app and flow that worked, we copied the same structure in how a user can reach their goal. We did some user stories and basic flow which we validate it with the Dev team.

Wireframing live sessions

Since we were designing with users in mind we invited a couple of our users to attend the wireframing session. They were able to validate the ideas and concepts in real-time which made the entire process a lot faster and easier.
